Product Description
Mast Cell Tryptase, also known as Tryptase, is a serine protease that is primarily produced and stored in mast cells and plays an important role in angiogenesis and in the development of metastases.15,16 Elevated Mast Cell Tryptase levels are found in subgroups of patients with hematologic and solid cancers. Particularly, tryptase-positive mast cells increase in number and vascularization in solid tumors, such as human malignant melanoma, endometrial carcinoma, breast cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and in hematological tumors.15,16 Mast Cell presence within the tumor gained additional significance when it was shown that controlling its activation or controlling their interactions with other cell types may be used as an anticancer treatment strategy.17
