Product Description
CD39, also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (ENTPD1), can hydrolyze extracellular ATP and ADP. It is one of the key enzymes in the adenosine pathway and targeted adenosine may play a role in antitumor strategies.15 CD39 pathway inhibits natural killer (NK) cells and promotes the metastasis of tumors.15 Overexpression of CD39 has been observed in many human cancer types such as melanoma, leukemia, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, and ovarian cancer.16 Determining the level of CD39 expression may indicate cancer virulence and may aid with anticancer treatment strategies.16,17
