Through lectures and hands-on practical learning in our Education Center and Training Laboratory, the Biocare Medical Education Team has designed the intelliPATH FLX® Training course to enhance the skills of novice, intermediate, and expert users. We have an interactive training program and will tailor courses to meet your laboratory’s specific training needs.
Course Outline
• Comprehensive overview of the intelliPATH FLX®, its software, reagents and peripherals
• A review of scientific principles, basic IHC concepts, IHC troubleshooting and Biocare reagents
• Extensive laboratory sessions for hands-on experience using the intelliPATH FLX® and IHC

Sessions for the intelliPATH FLX® Training course conducted in our Education Center and Training Laboratory in Concord, California have been approved for National Society for Histotechnology credits.
Clinical applications of molecular techniques are gaining popularity. The Molecular Pathology Training course is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of basic molecular biology and a description of common molecular techniques such as in situ hybridization (ISH), various forms of polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and mutation detection that will afford a better understanding of the applications and diagnostic relevance of molecular pathology. The pros and cons of these techniques will be discussed, including which molecular techniques and methods are best suited for diagnostic, screening or treatment assessment purposes.

Sessions for the Molecular Pathology Training course conducted in our Education Center and Training Laboratory in Concord, California have been approved for National Society for Histotechnology credits.
The ONCORE™ Training course has been designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the use of and science behind the ONCORE™ Automated Slide Staining System. Through lectures and hands-on practical learning in our Education Center and Training Laboratory, the ONCORE™ Training course will enhance the skills of all IHC and ISH users. The Biocare Medical Education team has an interactive training program, and will tailor courses to meet your clinical laboratory’s specific training needs.
Course Outline
• Lecture topics include: Basic IHC concepts as they apply to the ONCORE™ Automated Slide Staining System; A cell and molecular biology overview, introducing molecular techniques, specifically in situ hybridization on the ONCORE™
• Comprehensive overview of the ONCORE™ Automated Slide Staining System, its software, reagents and peripherals
• Laboratory sessions for extensive hands-on experience using the ONCORE™ for both IHC and ISH applications
Course Length and Location

The Veterinary Pathology/Research Training course is a modified version of our intelliPATH FLX® Training course, customized for our Vet Path and Research intelliPATH FLX® users. This course will focus on veterinary pathology and research applications unique to Biocare Medical’s reagents and instrumentation.
Course Outline
• Lecture topics include: fundamental science; basic IHC concepts; IHC troubleshooting; and animal- and research-specific IHC reagents
• Comprehensive overview of the intelliPATH FLX®, its software, vet path and research-specific protocols, reagents and peripherals
• Lab sessions for extensive hands-on experience using the intelliPATH FLX® and IHC in general
