TTF-1 [SPT24]

Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a 38 kDa member of the NKX2 family of homeodomain transcription factors. TTF-1 is mostly detected in primary lung adenocarcinomas and small cell carcinomas.1 No cytoplasmic staining in lung cancers has been observed with clone SPT24.2

TTF-1 + Napsin A (VALENT)

TTF-1 has been the premier marker for lung adenocarcinoma. Another promising marker, Napsin A, is expressed in type II pneumocytes and in adenocarcinomas of the lung (1). Studies have shown Napsin A to be more sensitive and specific than TTF-1 in lung adenocarcinomas, and virtually negative in all squamous carcinomas. In other studies, comparing TTF-1 […]

(L) - Lung ADC stained with TTF-1 + p40 (cRM) / (R) - Lung SqCC stained with TTF-1 + p40 (cRM)

TTF-1 + p40 (cRM)

Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a member of the NKX2 family of homeodomain transcription factors. Studies have shown that TTF-1 is expressed in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland and lung. TTF-1 has been shown to be a sensitive (62-80%) and specific marker (89-95%) in the majority of primary lung adenocarcinomas (ADC) (1-7). When combined […]

Lung Adenocarcinoma stained with TTF-1, 2X

TTF-1, 2X

TTF-1 (M), 2X is being discontinued. We will continue to offer these products until 06/30/16 or until current inventory is depleted, whichever occurs first. Biocare does offer TTF-1, catalog numbers CM087, PM087, IP087 as a substitute. Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a member of the NKX2 family of homeodomain transcription factors. Studies have shown it […]

Lung ADC stained with TTF-1 + Napsin A

TTF-1 + Napsin A (RM)

TTF-1 is a member of the NKX2 family of homeodomain transcription factors found in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland and lung. TTF-1 has been shown to stain approximately 65-70% of cases of lung adenocarcinomas (ADC), with a small number of cases of lung squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) also positive for TTF-1 (1-4). Napsin A […]

TTF-1 + Napsin A staining lung adenocarcinoma

TTF-1 + Napsin A

TTF-1 has been the premier marker for lung adenocarcinoma. A new and promising marker, Napsin A, is expressed in type II pneumocytes and in adenocarcinomas of the lung (2). Studies have shown Napsin A to be more sensitive and specific than TTF-1 in lung adenocarcinomas and virtually negative in all squamous carcinomas. In other studies […]

Lung squamous cell carcinoma stained with TTF-1 (DAB) + CK5 (FR)

TTF-1 + CK5

Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a member of the NKX2 family of homeodomain transcription factors. It is expressed in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland and lung. TTF-1 has been shown to be a sensitive (65-81%) and specific marker (94%) in the majority of primary lung adenocarcinomas. Studies have shown that TTF-1, used in combination […]

Lung adenocarcinoma stained with TTF-1 antibody

TTF-1

Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) is a member of the NKX2 family of homeodomain transcription factors. It is expressed in epithelial cells of the thyroid gland and the lung. Nuclei from liver, stomach, pancreas, small intestine, colon, kidney, breast, skin, testes, pituitary, prostate and adrenal glands are not reactive. TTF-1 is detected in primary lung adenocarcinomas […]
