In order to verify that a reagent is staining according to its correct specificity, a negative control should be included in each staining run. These negative controls provided have been optimized to work with Biocare’s 4plus Detection Systems or Biocare’s polymer detection systems.
Negative Control for Mouse Antibodies
The MOPC-21 tumor line that produces mouse IgG1,k is a mineral oil-based plasmacytoma carried in BALB/c mice. The IgG1 preparation has been purified from mouse ascites fluid. An IgG1 negative control is usually matched at the same concentration as the primary antibody (IgG1 isotype).
Negative Control for Mouse Antibodies
This product is to be used as a negative control substitution for mouse monoclonal antibodies. SDS-PAGE shows two bands corresponding to heavy and light chain. The IgG preparation has been purified from pooled sera and contains a spectrum of the IgG subclasses.
Negative Control for Polyclonal Antibodies
These antibodies have been purified from pooled sera of healthy adult rabbits and contain the full spectrum of the IgG subclasses. This product is intended for use as a negative control with rabbit polyclonal antibodies.
Negative Control for Mouse and Rabbit Antibodies
The Universal Negative Control Serum is designed to work with both mouse and rabbit antibodies. The Universal Negative Control Serum has been titered for Biocare products including monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, and antibody combinations. It can be used with any of Biocare’s mouse and/or rabbit streptavidin kits. It can also be used on an automated staining system such as intelliPATH FLX®. For all Biocare’s polymer detection systems, please use NC499.
Designed to work with both Mouse and Rabbit antibodies
This Polymer Negative Control Serum is designed to work with both mouse and rabbit antibodies. The Polymer Negative Control Serum has been titered for Biocare products including monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, and antibody combinations. It can be used with any of Biocare’s mouse and/or rabbit polymer detection kits or Biocare’s double stain kits. It can also be used on an automated staining system such as intelliPATH FLX®. For all non-polymer based detection systems, please use NC498.
