Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor
EGFR (H11) reacts with a 170kDa 9wild type) and 145kDa (vIII variant), identified as the first member (EGR-Receptor) of type I family of growth factor receptors. It shows no cross reaction with c-erbB-2, cerbB-3 or c-erbB-4. Over-expression of EGFR is reported in tumors of breast (25%), brain, bladder, lung, gastric, esophagus, cervix, ovary and endometrium.
